Introduction

Our Talent Development Squad (Mini section) is made up of gymnasts aged 5-7 who show lots of potential. The Squad trains for progression to the Pre-Competition Squad. Building on their experience and existing skills, the gymnasts will improve their strength, flexibility and technique, without losing sight of the fun.

Details

  • Who is it for? Gymnasts aged 5-7 who have shown potential and who may have the desire to compete. Please note that our Squads are “selection only.”
  • How long? Weekly 90 minute classes.
  • What is it like? These classes give children more opportunities to advance their skills. A strong focus on technique and structured training allows the gymnasts to improve their body strength and control, and to further their skills on apparatus such as beams, vaults, air tracks, trampettes and springboards.
  • What’s the goal? Gymnasts in the Talent Development Squad usually aim to progress to the Pre-Competition Squad. If selected, these gymnasts are most likely to train towards becoming “tops” in a partnership.

These classes are perfect for kids who show great potential and passion, and who dream of competing.

Acrobatic gymnastics: dynamic beauty and body control.

Somersaults, backflips, twisting acrobatics, pitching and catching, tempo, balance work. Set to music on a 12x12m floor, Acrobatic Gymnastics mixes choreography with stunning physical ability and technique. It builds core strength, agility, flexibility, balance and trust in others. Not only does it look impressive, it’s also a fun, energy-burning activity for children. And the best thing is: everybody can do it.
