At North Oxford Gymnastics Club, we have created a number of skill specific courses to help gymnasts achieve and focus on specific goals. Meaning they can add extra attention or focus onto the specific skills or interests they are currently aiming to achieve. These courses are ideal to go alongside their current classes either at our club or another local one.

Free Cartwheel – Tuesday 4-5.30 pm
Have you been trying to master your free cartwheel, come and join NOX gym for our workshop dedicated to Free cartwheel drills to help improve your technique and get closer to gaining this skill!
Must have a good cartwheel already to join this workshop.

Back Handspring – Wednesday 3-4.30 pm
Is your goal to achieve you back handspring this year? Come and join us for 1.5 hours fully focused on this skill. Back handsprings can take a long time to achieve, so the more you can practice the better!
Must already be working this skill in your usual class environment to attend this course.

Parent & Toddler Open Gym – Thursday 3.30-4.30 pm
Bring your toddler along for some gymnastics fun!
For this open session we will set up apparatus and fun activities for you and your child to explore and enjoy, Coaches will be on hand to help, and show best ways to help your toddler move around the gym.
All Ages Flexibility Course – Tuesdays 7.15-8.15pm
Focuses on Increasing all around flexibility
Level: Beginner, intermediate & Advanced
Most suitable from age 7+ (Younger gymnasts are welcome – this is a general guideline)
Coaches: Coach Lily & Coach Mel
Requirements: There are no specific minimum requirements for this course it is open to all levels and abilities from beginner to advanced.

Handstand Technique and variations course – Thursdays 7.15-8.15pm
Focuses on teaching the correct technique and building strength and awareness of the correct muscle groups and flexibility ranges in order to perform handstands well.
Level: Beginner, intermediate & Advanced
Most suitable from age 7+ (age guideline only)
Coaches: Coach Lily & Coach Mel
Requirements: This course is ideal for those who can already weight bear on their hands are are working towards one of the following goals:
Kick up to handstand (perhaps you are struggling to reach the full handstand)
Wanting to balance longer in your handstand
Wanting to hold your handstand consistently and securely
Wanting to develop and work on new handstand shapes
You will love learning new gymnastic skills. Full of fun, they will burn off energy and learn important body control. Places go fast, so book soon to avoid disappointment.
